If you’re an online business owner looking for a sales funnel builder, you’ve probably come across both GrooveFunnels and ClickFunnels. These two platforms are often compared, and for good reason – they both offer a wide range of features to help you build high-converting sales funnels. In this article, we’ll take an in-depth look at the differences between GrooveFunnels vs ClickFunnels to help you determine which one is the better choice for your specific needs.
I’ve used both platforms extensively, having built funnels for multiple clients. Below is an honest review of both platforms.
An Introduction To GrooveFunnels And ClickFunnels
Most digital marketers are familiar with sales funnel software. Two of the most popularly compared options are GrooveFunnels (by Mike Filsaime) and ClickFunnels (by Russell Brunson and Todd Dickerson). Both of these online platforms are software applications designed to help you build high-converting sales funnels and landing pages for your digital marketing campaigns.
Clickfunnels was founded in October 2014 and has quickly grown to become one of the most widely used platforms in the world, and is now worth a whopping $360m (in 2023).
GrooveFunnels was founded earlier but only gained traction in 2020 with its lifetime offer of $1,997 (now $2,997) with access to all features (many of which are still not rolled out today). I am unable to find out how much it’s worth at the moment.
Key Differences
When it comes to choosing between GrooveFunnels and ClickFunnels, there are several key differences to consider. Here are some of the most important ones:
GrooveFunnels | ClickFunnels Classic |
Offers a free-for-life plan with very limited features. Paid lifetime plan at $2,997 or $99 monthly, with many other plans in between. | 14-day trial, standard plan at $97/month, or the Platinum plan at $297/month, and an annual plan of $1,997 that gives you access to both Clickfunnels 1.0 and 2.0 (which was recently rolled out in October 2022). |
Many features available, but comes with a steep learning curve. | Clickfunnels 1.0 is very established and stable, the 2.0 can be slightly glitchy. |
Wide range of features including email marketing, affiliate management, and video hosting. | Focuses primarily on sales funnel building, statistic-driven, email marketing, affiliate management, and split testing. |

Offers a built-in scheduler with paid plans. | No built-in scheduler. |
Limited membership area features | Dynamic membership area, especially with Clickfunnels 2.0 |
One of the main differences between GrooveFunnels and ClickFunnels is the range of features they offer. GrooveFunnels is a jack-of-all-trades platform that provides a wide range of software applications for online business owners. In contrast, ClickFunnels focuses primarily on sales funnel building and offers a more streamlined experience, leading to less overwhelm.
Ease of use is also a factor to consider. While ClickFunnels offers an easy drag-and-drop interface for building sales funnels, GrooveFunnels’ user interface can be a little bit overwhelming for beginners.
Customer support is another area where the two platforms differ. GrooveFunnels offers customer support through live chat and online communities, while ClickFunnels’ customer service is typically very efficient and replies fast either via live chat or email tickets.
When it comes down to it, the best option for you will depend on your specific needs. If you’re looking for a budgeted solution with some basic features, GrooveFunnels may be the better choice. If you’re raring to learn everything funnel building and marketing, ClickFunnels may be the way to go.
Overall, both platforms have their pros and cons, and it’s important to weigh them carefully before making a decision.
Ease of Use
When it comes to ease of use, both GrooveFunnels and ClickFunnels have their own strengths and weaknesses. In this section, we will compare the user interface and learning curve of both platforms to help you decide which one is the better choice for you.
User Interface
When I first started using both platforms, both were hard to navigate for me.
However –
Clickfunnels’ platform is very easy to learn and use. Its drag and drop builder, editor layout and speed of interface makes it really easy to come up with beautiful designs.
Groovefunnels requires more patience (a LOT more patience) and a lot of trial and error.
The designing capabilities are limited (you can see this from Groovefunnel pages on the Internet) and can be frustrating to a funnel designer like myself.
What I can create in Clickfunnels, I can only make it half as beautiful (or less than half) in GrooveFunnels.
Pricing Plans
Clickfunnels 2.0 pricing. The Pro and Funnel Hacker plans include your Clickfunnels 1.0 (aka Clickfunnels Classic account)
Clickfunnels Classic (1.0) pricing plans. You can use this alone (which is what I use 99% of the time now without using the 2.0, but I am on the 2.0’s Funnel Hacker plan which includes both platforms.)
When it comes to pricing plans, GrooveFunnels and ClickFunnels both offer a variety of options to suit different needs and budgets. Here’s a breakdown of the main pricing plans available for each platform.
Free Trial and Free Plan
Both GrooveFunnels and ClickFunnels offer a free trial period, allowing you to test out the platform before committing to a paid plan. GrooveFunnels also offers a free plan that includes access to some of their features, such as the landing page builder and affiliate program. However, this plan has limited access and customization options, and you’ll need to upgrade to a paid plan to access all of GrooveFunnels’ features.
Basic and Standard Plans
GrooveFunnels’ Basic plan costs $99 per month and includes access to all of their core features, such as the sales funnel builder, online courses, and shopping cart. The Standard plan costs $199 per month and includes additional features like email marketing and video hosting. ClickFunnels’ Basic plan costs $97 per month and includes access to their sales funnel builder, landing page builder, split testing and basic email fulfillment. Their Platinum plan costs $297 per month and includes additional features like the affiliate management tool and advanced email automation features.
Platinum Plan and Lifetime Offer
Both GrooveFunnels and ClickFunnels offer a Platinum plan, which includes access to all of their features. GrooveFunnels’ Platinum plan costs $299 per month (or $2,997 lifetime), while ClickFunnels’ Platinum plan costs $297 per month.
Here’s a table summarizing the pricing plans for each platform:
Platform | Free Trial | Free Plan | Basic Plan | Standard Plan | Platinum Plan | Lifetime Offer |
GrooveFunnels | Yes | Yes | $99/month | $199/month | $299/month | $2,997 one-time payment |
ClickFunnels | Yes | No | $97/month | N/A | $297/month | Yearly Plan of $2,497 to use both Clickfunnels 1.0 and 2.0 |
It’s worth noting that both platforms offer a range of customization options and built-in features to help you create high-converting sales funnels and marketing campaigns. Ultimately, the best choice for you will depend on your specific needs and budget.
Verdict: While GrooveFunnels offer probably more features (automation and email marketing) at $99, Clickfunnels’ 1.0 $97 plan takes the cake for its ease of use, the ability to churn out funnels more efficiently and the friendly user interface.
GrooveFunnels VS ClickFunnels: Features Comparison
With ClickFunnels, you get a robust and well-designed drag-and-drop editor, allowing you to churn out a page in minutes. There are hundreds of templates ready for you to use and customize.
Amazing elements and widgets you can use include the social media handle icons, image pop ups, surveys, countdown timers, checkout carts, pop-ups, pricing tables, Facebook comments, progress bars, videos, and more.
With GrooveFunnels, you get pre-designed blocks you can customize. Elements include countdown timers, forms, and a navigation bar.
Sales Funnel Building
Both GrooveFunnels and ClickFunnels offer a variety of sales funnel templates that allow you to quickly and easily build high-converting sales funnels. Both platforms allow you to create follow-up funnels, sales pages, landing pages, webinar funnels, and more. ClickFunnels also offers an extra range of funnel types such as lead funnels, challenge funnels, affiliate funnels, and membership funnels.
Drag and Drop Builder
Both platforms use a drag and drop builder that allows you to easily customize your sales funnel pages. GrooveFunnels’ drop editor requires a steeper learning curve and has limited design capabilities, while ClickFunnels’ landing page builder is more advanced and offers more customization as well as CSS options.
Affiliate Program
Both GrooveFunnels and ClickFunnels have an affiliate management tool that allows you to manage your affiliate program. GrooveFunnels offers a more extensive affiliate management platform, while ClickFunnels’ affiliate program is user-friendly and easy to integrate with the relevant products.
Membership Sites and Online Courses
Both platforms offer a membership site builder that allows you to create and manage your own online courses. Both platforms require you to be on the basic paid plans to access the membership area.

Shopping Cart
Both platforms offer a shopping cart feature that allows you to sell physical and digital products. Groovefunnels’ shopping cart is hosted under GrooveSell. It is difficult to use, requires a lot of backend setup and I had to go through a million YouTube videos to get the hang of it. Furthermore, unlike Clickfunnels’, the checkout cart can hardly be customized to fit the theme of the overall funnel – you cannot change the font or the design – you can only select from 3-4 basic colors.

Marketing Campaigns and Split Testing
Both platforms offer a range of marketing tools, including email marketing, landing page builders, split testing, and more.
I have not tested GrooveFunnels’ split testing feature before, but with ClickFunnels, you can easily create a variation page by simply cloning the original version. Then toggle the traffic to be 50/50, meaning traffic lands on each page equally. After a day or two, Clickfunnels will show you the winning page. You can choose to continue with the split test or select a winner, with which the losing page will be deleted from the funnel.
Analytics and Reporting
Both platforms offer analytics and reporting tools that allow you to track your sales funnel performance.
Integrations and Payment Gateways
Both platforms offer a wide range of integrations and payment gateways that allow you to connect your sales funnel to other software applications and payment processors. GrooveFunnels offers more integrations and payment gateways than ClickFunnels.
Overall, GrooveFunnels and ClickFunnels offer similar features, but there are key differences that set them apart. GrooveFunnels is a good option for online marketers who want a wide range of features and customization options, while ClickFunnels is a better choice for those who value ease of use and a user-friendly interface.
Verdict: ClickFunnels wins hands down when it comes to easy integrations with Zapier and external tools, due to its ability to integrate natively with over 100 different platforms and software. Its drag and drop editor is also much easier to use and has more options and are more customizable.
Support and Community
When it comes to choosing between GrooveFunnels and ClickFunnels, it is important to consider the level of support and community available to you as an online business owner. Both platforms offer customer support and online communities, but there are some differences between them.
Customer Support
If you encounter any issues while using GrooveFunnels or ClickFunnels, you can reach out to their customer support teams for assistance. Both platforms offer customer support through various channels, including email, live chat and phone.
GrooveFunnels offers 24/7 customer support, which means you can get help whenever you need it. They also have a knowledge base with articles and tutorials to help you troubleshoot any issues on your own.
ClickFunnels also offers 24/7 customer support through email and live chat, but their phone support is only available during business hours. They have a comprehensive knowledge base with articles and tutorials as well.
Online Communities
Having a community of like-minded individuals to turn to for support and advice can be invaluable for online business owners. Both GrooveFunnels and ClickFunnels have active online communities where you can connect with other users and learn from their experiences.
GrooveFunnels has a Facebook group with over 150,000 members, where you can ask questions, share your successes and get feedback from other users. They also have a forum on their website where you can connect with other users and get support from the GrooveFunnels team.
ClickFunnels also has a Facebook group with over 200,000 members, as well as a forum on their website. However, their community may be more focused on sales and marketing, rather than the broader range of topics covered in the GrooveFunnels community.
Overall, both GrooveFunnels and ClickFunnels offer solid customer support and active online communities. However, if having 24/7 customer support and a broader range of topics covered in the online community is important to you, GrooveFunnels may be the better choice.
Verdict: I have to say GrooveFunnels’ Facebook group has the more ‘human’ element to it where you can ask any question and get proper answers, whereas posts are heavily moderated in the Clickfunnels group – and posts tend to be a bit more promotional and salesy.
Clickfunnels Is An All In One Package
Russell Brunson has made it his mission to teach people how to grow their sales through funnels. The moment you sign up, you do not get basic salesy emails asking you to be an affiliate, the way other platforms typically send you.
You start receiving educational information on funnel building and marketing. You get invited to free challenges and events that teach you marketing strategies, growing your email list, conversion rates, and more.
There is also a yearly physical event called the Funnel Hacking Live, and tens of thousands of entrepreneurs around the world attend to learn and network. There are awards you can walk on stage to collect during this event that recognize your company for making 7 figures and above in annual sales revenue.
There are free t-shirts and a swag that you get when you sign up, making you feel very much a part of the Clickfunnels’ funnel hacking community.
This, I would say, is one of Clickfunnels’ strongest traits – the constant education and growing of the community.
Overall, ClickFunnels is the best option for building sales funnels and online marketing campaigns. Its ease of use, wide range of features, and excellent customer support make it the clear winner in the GrooveFunnels vs ClickFunnels comparison.

Another important feature to consider when choosing between GrooveFunnels and ClickFunnels is ease of use. When it comes to customization options, both platforms offer a wide range of tools for creating custom landing pages, sales pages, and funnels. While GrooveFunnels may be a better choice if you’re doing e-Commerce due to its integration with shipping companies, ClickFunnels is the choice for digital products.
Overall, the best option for you will depend on your specific goals and requirements. If you’re looking for a platform that’s easy to use and offers a wide range of built-in features, GrooveFunnels may be the better choice.
